Looking for advice-what to see and do in Ames and at ISU

Hello everyone, My son is a football recruit for ISU and we are going to come into town this weekend to visit the school, see the town, and go to the game. I was wondering if anyone had advice on what we should try to see, do, or experience while we are there? Thanks in advance,

I think technically he’s only a two-star overall. Kohl’s Kicking (only based on kickers) gives him a 5 Star based on his Kohl Camp performance.

Jamie Kohl was the 1st ISU kicker I remember. Little did I know what I was in for after him when it came to kicking.

Given how bad our kickers have been over the years when some of the best kickers in the country have been just a few miles south at Ankeny this is great news. When a program is actively recruiting top rated kickers they must be very comfortable with the depth at other positions.

From Norcalcy’s old neighborhood! Love it. Lots of talent in the greater Sacramento region. I remember an ISU guy from Rancho Cordova who was a leading Heisman contender in 2002. Good players will want to go where College football matters and inspires passion. That’s not the West Coast right now.
