Maybe there are already enough COVID threads on here, in which case, feel free to delete. I'm just curious about everyone's experiences with it (i.e. symptoms, timelines, etc.). Certainly don't want to get political. I started getting a cough on Sunday, with a little bit of a headache, and a little congestion. Took some ibuprofin and had a few whiskeys watching the football games, and felt okay. Still coughing yesterday, but last night my smell wasn't very good. I could smell, but I'd have to be really close. Last night, nose started running, and still coughing. Still a little headache. Went and got the rapid test, and came back positive. If it doesn't get worse than this, I'll be a happy guy. I do have asthma, which makes me a little nervous, but so far, so good.

Hope all goes well.Even if we take every precaution, one lapse and we could all get COVID.

I (32M) had it at the beginning of October. I got lucky and had a mild case where I was basically just unbelievably tired for 3-4 days. That was it. Never lost my senses or even had a cough. My wife (31F) had it at the same time and she was congested for 2-3 days and completely lost her taste and smell for about 4 days, but the senses fully returned within a week of symptoms showing. For the 2 of us we agreed the seasonal flu is significantly worse than what we experienced, but I have good friends who went through hell with it. Get well soon!

Get well soon and you’ll come out on the other side with antibodies right in time for spring/summer.

Had it in October. Tired and congested but I always was during harvest so nothing new. I did have a light cough and I noticed I would wind out faster than normal. Besides that nothing else. My whole family had it at the same time (wife brought it home) and we were all pretttu similar.

Had it in October. Lost my taste and smell for a day but that was it.

Wife had it before me. She was sick as a dog for a week and then another week of exhaustion.

I ran a low grade temp for about 30 hours, then lost my sense of smell a few days later. I don't think mine ever got to my lungs because I never really had much of a cough or shortness of breath. I was pretty drained of energy for a solid week though, and then would have a few good days followed by being drained again the next day the following week. My sense of smell came back slowly after 2 weeks.

Good luck. I will say it is liberating to be through it.

Had it in the middle of November and it knocked me out for 3 days. Didn't get any of the respiratory issues, but had a high-grade fever, aches, pains, chills, loss of appetite, and a constant splitting headache. For those 3 days I was completely incapacitated. It took about a week for me to fully recover.

Seems to affect everyone differently. Feel better!

Both my kids had it (20s). Both were tired and mild fever for about 2 days, son lost taste/smell, daughter got some headaches and more fatigue. Both 100% fine after a week.

When I had it in around June, I had a fever that would come on at night and be gone by morning. I had a bit of diarrhea and was a bit tired, but no respiratory stuff what so ever. I thought I just had a bit of a bug. My wife was sick one day and called in to check to see if she needed to get tested for work (she is a nurse). They told her to call her doctor and the doctor thought she had a simple cold. The doctor thought I may have had it based off of my symptoms so I got tested. I was the only one in my house that was positive. My wife and 2 kids had colds but no COVID.

Had it in November. Felt like a mid level cold. 10 day isolation was the worst part. Completely lost smell and taste for a month. Taste is back about 75%. Smell is back 25%. Hope your case is mild. Just had a friend age 65 spend 9 days in the hospital and his wife thought he was a goner. Home on oxygen. Crazy varied impact zone for so many.
TO ADD, for those of us who have had it, especially those who had a mild case and think you can go bust your a$$ after kicking Covids a$$, be careful. More doctors are warning and seeing patients who resumed "normal" activity like working out (or shoveling snow) after recovery and dealing with blood clots. Some killing them. I spent time in the yard 2 weeks out and could really feel it. I'm sure I pushed it way too soon. Too good of a football season coming up to screw up at this time of your life!!

I caught it on Halloween day and started showing symptoms the next Wednesday. I was pretty much down the entire month of November. I am 45 years old with a history of asthma. No energy, no appetite, lungs filled up with junk. Soda tasted like poison, coffee was rancid, pumpkin pie was dreadful. I ran a fever near 102 for about five days. I was sick, to be sure, but have been much, much sicker from the flu than this, oddly.

Home treatment, for me, Mucinex so I could sleep. Aspirin for the fever. Gatorade G2 or Zero for replenishing my electrolytes. I did not really eat for two weeks, any and all food simply did not agree with me. Tried to sleep as much as I could.

I am fully recovered now. I hope you get well soon!

Got it at the beginning of November. Initially had all minor symptoms w/ low grade fever for a few days, some coughing, odd body aches, but nothing crazy. Lost all of my smell and taste that week too. The 2nd week had crazy fatigue and that lasted 2 weeks. The fatigue got better slowly but the brain fog lasted until the beginning of January. Feeling like an idiot and having very little short term memory sucked. I also got a lung infectection at some point. Got a z-pac, steroid and an inhaler and cleared that up. Didn't have much trouble breathing, just sharp pains, specifically at night.

All-in-all lasted a few months (still can't smell and have about 50% of taste back). It was more mental for me than it was physical. The fact that it lasted so long was the hardest part i wasn't aware of, but it gets better. It was a roller coster of feeling better one day or a for a couple of hours and then be D in the dirt for the next few days.

My 6 month old daughter also decided to get her first 2 teeth during this time and obviously had to stay home with me. That was fun.

Ironically - in Mid December I decided to go give some Covid Plasma to feel like a hero. A couple of days later they called me and said my body must have fought it off too well and didn't have enough antibodies to use as COVID Plasma.

10 out of 10 would not recomend. Hope you have all minor symptoms like a lot of the posters here.

I (33M) had it a few days before Christmas. Body aches, fatigue, nasal congestion, slight headache, low grade fever, and completely lost my taste/smell. The majority of the symptoms only lasted 2-3 days. It took about 3 weeks until I started regaining some taste and a bit longer to smell anything. It's still not 100% back. Glad it wasn't any worse.

My experience is out there in several threads. Hoping I have made it through. I have asthma so figuring that didn't help matters for me. I started out feeling crappy and then my oxygen levels took a turn that put me in the hospital. Best of luck to you.

I had it in December. I would say if COVID wasn’t all over the news it would have been the weakest cold I’ve ever had. A slightly runny nose and lost my taste for 2 days.

A buddy with asthma had it and had 0 symptoms. Only reason he knew he had it was because his wife had minor symptoms and tested positive. He decided to get tested and was positive.
