Whatever it is it looks like **** when its an aerial empty shot, if fans aren’ there, when our fans are in the lots drinking in the 3rd qtr, ect..
Normally I’d get upset about this too but it was hotter than hell in there today and we were up by 5 touchdowns. I’ll give the early bird leavers a pass.

People were saying the exact same thing when they were talking about bowling in the south end zone. "when we start selling out every game, then it will be time to bowl the end zone in." They were wrong, bowling in the stadium has increased the look and feel of the stadium. Increasing the size of the press box would do the same to the stadium. More enhanced seating and suites would bring in more money into the program, while also improving the look of the stadium.

Since you oppose the press box, what do you suggest should be the next improvement to JTS?
It's literally the next thing to do besides fancy LED field lights.

Considering that the bleachers are anodized aluminum and were never painted and thus can't be "re-painted," an update that many folks want would require new bleachers.

I agree that the stadium looks blah when empty, but so do most college stadiums with bleachers.

Seems to me that there should be more club seating--of course, that would lower capacity. What it would do is most likely raise revenue.

But I agree that it would "look" great to have a completely refurbished stadium and a different press/suite yower.

They need to install a giant shade sail over the stadium or I'm gonna get skin cancer. It's been pretty brutal the first 2 games. They can get them on sale this time of year.

I know it's impractical (probably? Idk) but that's my dream lol. It'd probably bounce some noise back into the stadium as well. Make it a more intense environment. Plus it'd look sick .

My guessing is most people dont even pay attention to it. They have been that way as long as I remember, they may have been darker at one time, but its been so long I dont remember them actually not faded.

If they were painted you then will have people saying they are the wrong shade as we do everything else.

Probably should have went with natural gray bleachers, then there would not be an issue.
The solution has nothing to do with painting or not painting the bleachers. We need to rip out the bleachers and install chairback seating throughout. It looks better empty, and it is 1000% better from a fan perspective. I hate sitting on the bleachers for a game. The individual seatback rental things are just marginally better than a bleachers. Need the real deal.

Doing so would drop capacity down to the low to mid 50,000s, so no thanks.

I remember touring Lambeau Field a few years back, and the tour guide mentioned that removing the bleacher seating to have individual chairs would drop capacity by about 10,000.

You would not have to do the entire stadium, they could do it say from the 30/40 to 30/40 yard lines, and then have the regular bleachers on the sides. Doing so would lower capacity but they could also charge more for those seats.

A. Recruits who visit when it’s empty.

B. Anyone who sees publicity photos taken when it’s empty.

Any more questions?
A. It looks like 99% of other empty stadiums. Seen the Big House or Beaver or really any other stadium? They're all rows and rows of aluminum emptiness.

B. Spending millions of dollars for like, .01% of the population that spends time looking at empty stadium photos doesn't seem like a great use of resources.

Okay, so I think I have all my shopping list now, thanks!

When I win the next billion dollar Powerball, I write a check to Jamie for:

A. Bowling in the NEZ. That’s my pet project.

B. Third deck on the east side. Because apparently CPR wants it.

C. New press box.

D. Additional luxury boxes.

E. Entire stadium with fade resistant bucket seats.

…and all that comes out of my pocket, so no investment by the AD, and any ensuing income is pure gravy.

I just want my own luxury box out of it.

Sound fair? That’s my bucket list.

Am I forgetting anything?

I would LOVE real seats. I pay for the temporary seat cushion, but only to mark my space. They aren't comfortable at all.

That's what I love about going to games in Hilton. Whether you're sitting court side or up in the rafters, at least you're always comfortable.

I wouldn't say anything in Hilton is comfortable. I'm a larger guy and those seats are tiny AF and not comfortable when we're packed in there. I love Hilton, but it ain't comfy.

Cushioned seats throughout the entire arena with cloth fabric. Good luck finding any other basketball venue more comfortable than Hilton.

Keep in mind how many seats you'd still lose with doing this. Would you increase the price of the tickets to cover for the lost ticket sales from the decreased capacity, just for the sake of putting these seats in? I wouldn't see the value in that personally, and I'd just keep paying for my regular seat backs.
