Lots of camera movement this morning starting around 8:12 am. Seems like there is still parts of the road between Cy Stevens and the parking lots that needs to be paved and lots of sidewalks are being laid out to be poured soon.

The panning was nice.

A3 now has lines, and it looks like they’re covering the CyTown strip from north to south with what appears to be amended soil. They were pouring what looks more or less like patios on the east side of the Alumni Center in those pan-arounds.

And thus the push for finishing sidewalks and landscaping begins.

It occurs to me that they have two more days to get everything shipshape for the game, but then, really, two more weeks after that to really finish up everything.

Two shots of the concrete work next to the Alumni Center. Check the time stamp if you want to scroll back to see a whole bunch more.

Not sure what they’re doing here, or why the sidewalk needs a zig zag. Seems like it would be an odd place for a hydrant.

They are adding stairs to get out of A5. Not sure how that creates the need to do that to the sidewalk though

Most likely to allow a slope down to the road so someone can walk up and out of A5 and across the street and take the stairs down into what will be B5 next year

Yup, you can see the dip in the curb in that screenshot. Looks like a crosswalk.
Still hard to get used to thinking this way as before if you were leaving A5 you were walking to the stadium up the street or walking to another tailgate in B lot by walking down the grass hill

I was thinking they might, especially with the waterways.

But right now I count two backhoes and four full sized dump trucks, working on that rapidly shrinking pile of soils and shuttling it north. Whatever they’re going to do with that half of the CyTown strip, I don’t think it’s going to wait.

Looking at the renderings I could find, CyTown skews wide at the south end. B5 will be MacFarland.

The north end will also spread to a narrower tee on both sides of the bandshell. Thus why A4 is shorter than A3.

At least a section of B5 is staged to be a parking lot right now with entrances and light poles in place.
