Pretty sure that's part of the pumping system.

You are probably right, to me it looks like an optical illusion that it's above the playing surface grass. If you extend the back fill dirt that they did against the lower bowl wall it probably does cover it up.

I think it'll end up being at grade. Someone else has a photo where it appears to be so, and you can see a number of doors. But yes - it does look like it's a foot or two higher, doesn't it. Same with the wall along the east lower bowl. I imagine that'll be covered by bleachers as well (?)

Guaranteed the 1st game will be full. You cannot look at these pictures or drive past the stadium and not immediately get hyped to be in JT.

AMEN!! Like everyone, I saw the projections of the project early on. But the projections don't convey the feeling that seeing the genuine article does. Been going to games in JTS since before it was JTS, somewhere about '78 or so. And all I can say is, WOW! Well done, Jamie and all those who planned it and all those who are building it.

Any more letters up yet y'all? Because it doesn't look like there's enough room for "University" on that board. Would sure be embarrassing if they squeezed in what they could and the letters sort of ran down the edge like I used to do in grade school.

Part of me wishes the back of the scoreboard was red, just to provide something on the stadium that stands out instead of the tan and grey colors used virtually everywhere else.

This side of the Kyle Field scoreboard can be seen 10 miles away btw.

UNI and Iowa will be sell outs and you can quote me on that. If we start the year 3-0, KU should be a sellout too.

I don't disagree, but theres something to be said for the minimalist approach. I think this ties the room together with the rest of the sports area (Hilton, C.Y., Fisher) than a cardinal brick.

That and we'd have to change it every time the 'red' changes in the logo/uniforms.
