Josh Davis

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if when Bubu was awarded a scholarship they had an understanding that if they needed it to improve the team he would give it up. I have no knowledge of that and could be way off base though.

I hope this is the case in large part because I don't want anyone to leave.

If he is down to 4 that means he is making a decision soon. With that being said either someone already told the staff that they are transferring or not going to make it to campus, or the staff is going to have to tell someone that they have to transfer, or that the scholarship offer is no longer on the table and they can't come to Iowa State anymore.

Do you think CFH would do that?

Forgot that Davis can play immediately.. He would likely fight for minutes with Niang, Ejim, and Gibson for that matter. Would likely see poultry minutes off the bench. Would be a good replacement for Ejim next year, but if memory serves he only has one year of eligibility.

No, he would start at the 5 no question in my mind. Ejim would move to 3 and Niang to 4. We would then have experience and skill at 3 positions to lessen the learning curb at the 1-2. I think they would still run smaller lineups through the game but this would make me feel a lot better about the bigs situation next season. I think it would help keep Ejim and Niang out of foul trouble as well.

I've seen this guy play several games. Saw him put 21/15 on Memphis in C-USA Tournament. He will start every game beginning with the first closed scrimmage, IMO. Ferocious rebounder and high energy guy. Trust me, we all want this guy.

Let's say hypothetically Percy transferred, or Edozie didn't make it to campus. Then we replace that player with Josh Davis. We would then graduate Bubu, Ejim, Amardi, and Davis. This would open up another scholarship for the class of 2014 too, which would be great!

I do remember hearing back when he was first awarded it that his dad was a big booster so the money wasn't a big deal and we had an open scholarship and gave it to Bubu because he earned it and helped our team GPA. Don't know if any of that is true but I know I read that somewhere on here before

What about the Juco no one ever talks about? Everyone says Hogue, Amardi and Bluford can be good...

Also Bubu was awarded a scholarship because we had an opening, we also let him keep it again because we didn't want to settle for less so we had another open one again...

Being in his final four makes me believe that there is a scholarship for him here if he wants to come.

The more I look into this list of his final 4 schools it doesn't appear to be accurate. People are saying he is visiting NC State and they appear to be the leader to get him back as well.
