Jeriann Ritter

ALS is tough with very little known. My Fraternity is heavily involved with the Live Like Lou Foundation for ALS research. We also give out the Annual Lou Gehrig Award in MLB.

New research partnerships with Vanderbilt and The University of Pittsburg. Really bad disease with very little known.

Live Like Lou Foundation For ALS Research

Another great Non-Profit fighting for ALS families and research. My Fraternity is a major part of this organization and helps fund and has board members. Major work done by a local Iowa State Grad to help fight what killed Lou Gehrig.

This group not only has new research institutes at Vanderbilt University and University of Pirrsburg but also focuses on helping the families deal with the tragedy also with summer camps for children, local support for ALS families and of course financial help for those affected.

Newer partnerships with College Baseball and MLB to help with the fight.

A newer but growing option in the fight for ALS.

I remember chatting with her at the tornado game back in 2005. She started with WHO back in 2004. Super nice lady, just never realized she was that short standing next to her with me at a tad over 6’.

Anyone looking to do some good to support the fight ALS here is a link to donate. Every dollar matters in finding a cure and helping support those who have ALS. It’s a truly awful disease.
Another is ALS TDI.

Some sad news about Jeriann Ritter. We used to have her and the rest of the WHO crew on every morning as we were getting up and going for the day, but haven't done that for a few years. Then more recently when I've caught her it was clear that something with her voice was off. She just opened up about it and it's not great news, sounds like a degenerative condition and the prognosis is that eventually she'll lose the ability to speak.

Very sad if true. Pulling for her and hope she proves the neurologists wrong.

What an incredible attitude she brings to life, even with the bad news about her health!

Watch this video and she will definitely inspire you for your day.

I thought I had a busy day coming and wanted to get a good headstart on it, so I didn't think I "had time" to watch the entire interview by Keith, but it was so good to hear from her and I was so inspired going into this day. I'm so glad that I watched it. Thanks @BigJCy for posting it.

Very sad news. From watching her over the years, she resonates a cheerful positive attitude. I lost a close friend to this terrible heart breaking disease and can attest how hard it is on the family as it slowly takes the life out of the afflicted. God bless her and her family.

As I said in the other thread, I went to college with Jeriann. She's always positive and is a good and nice person. I know she won't give up without fighting. But this sucks so hard. I feel for her and her family -- especially her two boys.
