Could be, but with no public accounting on NIL programs, what is your assumption based on?I think it’s best to assume we have very little in NIL money……..

Oh well yeah, certainly I could see that for DeJean. I thought someone was saying Iowa was paying every single DB that which would just be ridiculous.I think the rumor was they paid one DB 600k.

the SEP kidWhat? Who?

I don't know ****, but I am pretty darn certain the DB in question is Nwankpa. What? Who?

They paid 600k for Nwankpa?? That's quite the investment. I think he's solid right now and could end up being a star but he isn't that right now.I don't know ****, but I am pretty darn certain the DB in question is Nwankpa.
Started towards the ended of last season and started all year this season.Does he even play yet?
Supply/demand. They were in competition with all the big boys. They paid 600k for Nwankpa?? That's quite the investment. I think he's solid right now and could end up being a star but he isn't that right now.
Sooner or later the NCAA will just have to share revenue with the athletes. Equally between schools. Somehow.
Governors/Regents/Congress....whoever, will just have to grab these P5 schools by the ears, spank them, and send them to their rooms.
Agreed. I don’t know if $600K is the number but if you are an NFL prospect and have 1 rear of eligibility left it’s dicey to transfer. For a younger player I think the equation is different. Here's the logic in Cooper staying. Not saying he will but why he would. He's got one year before he's draft eligible. He knows how he'll be used here and can enhance his draft status. He transfers and it's a crap shoot. If the NFL is the priority (like it was for Tampa) he's better off staying. That said 600k is a lot of insensitive so hopefully we can offer enough to let him bet on himself.
I honestly don't know. On the one hand, if a player was making an NIL deal for "only" 20 or 30K, it would be wise to have professional representation. BUT, such representation could also act as a clearing house to connect a player to the highest bidder. Time will tell.I don’t think it’s fair to make these type of statements without any additional facts. Nobody has any additional context to what’s going on there
Yeah I suppose so. Crazy times we're inSupply/demand. They were in competition with all the big boys.
I think our higher ended guys are getting paid more than 20-30kI honestly don't know. You think Tech does?We have zero track record putting DB's in the NFL.
According to Blum, a lot. We're last in the conference for NIL.What is there to suggest Tech has significantly more money than Iowa State? Our athletic budgets are comparable. How much NIL money do they have?
