Rhoads said in the presser he had pink eye during the game and said it was not very pleasant. I cant imagine playing running back with sore eyes.
Although I don't completely agree with this, there is some truth to it. lol I think we have a lot of talent, but White does execute better... and it's not close. lol I love Shontrelle but he needs to start hitting the hole as intended. Of course, it's not that easy and I'm not out on the field, but Shontrelle, it seems like, wants to turn every play into a big play. Although it's one of my favorite qualities about him, there's a time when you just need to get yards. I'd rather have three four yard plays than a two runs for no gain and run for 9 yards.
I remember sealing Nealy out there only a couple of times, only saw him get one carry that went for four yards. Two more plays like that from him and we have a first down. I hope he gets more chances to carry the ball though.
Eye infections can be pretty nasty - I had one a could weeks back, my eyelid was swollen and it felt like I'd been punched in the eye. Can imagine that playing was difficult, I had a hard enough time staying on the treadmill (can't wear contacts w/ infection, sweat too much for glasses, etc.)
Pink eye's fairly contageous. Hopefully we don't have an entire team out with pink eye now...
CPR said he'd likely miss the next 2 games. I got the impression he wanted to say "at least" or "for sure."
White and Shontrelle compliment each other very well...they play different styles which keeps the defense on their toes. We really missed White on Saturday.
Shontrelle may have gotten greedy and wanted the ball all to himself so I'm blaming him. lol But seriously, that sucks, no wonder we didn't see him much.
