I would imagine a lot of these kids are hearing "do you really want to play for a guy that will be gone after next year?" His job status has to be killing us with recruits.

I think a lot of you are overestimating how warm CSP's seat is....

I didn't have to be the one to say it put JP will 100% give CSP a pass on this spring. Not being able to get guys on campus due to Covid-19 is a huge roadblock for Iowa State. If he has a respectable class put together in the fall I don't think next seasons results will matter much as long as the young guys appear to have upside.

Prohm is to you what Ryan Howard was to Michael Scott.

All coaches are facing the same struggles yet, there are programs out there pulling these kids we keep missing out on.

Listen, I'm not saying any of this is necessarily wrong. But it sure does seem that everything that goes wrong is "out of Steve's control" and that just gets old. It's zero-sum game. You win or you don't.

And if June brings immediate eligibility for all transfers, are we sure we wouldn't lose a player ot two?

Yeah and I definitely don't disagree that at some point that excuse can't be used either. I'm not saying I agree with what I posted either, I'm just pointing out that CSP has more wiggle room than what a lot of our fans think.

Might as well shut this one down, he ain't coming here. And we certainly don't need another thread devolving into the same thing the Gomez, Turner, Aiken, DeJulius and a dozen other missed recruit threads have become

At this point I don't know if that waiver would help or hurt us. It would give us more options on the transfer market but it could mean losing guys

Based on our apparent inability to sell the program right now I'd imagine we have more guys looking to get out than we do looking to get in.

What are your thoughts on how the spring recruiting effects Prohm's hot seat? Some have alluded to JP giving him a pass due to Covid 19. Any truth to that?

Did Jamie Pollard make some announcement I missed? Last I checked Steve Prohm was the HC at ISU and will be for foreseeable future.

Only people talking about Prohm being dead man walking are fans on forums and twitter.

Everyone is at home..all recruits are at home..all day..every day. To think they aren't reading up on the general fan feel is completely naïve. No I don' think they are making final decisions on this but it certainly isn't helping that's for sure.

Maybe everyone needs to shut up and let Prohm do his job without the fan base stabbing him in the back 1000x a day.

It's bad enough players cannot visit which is a strong appeal for ISU and kids coming here..now they get to not come for visits and sit at home sifting thru information on where they want to go..

Gee, you mean the dumbasses on here are having a negative impact on recruiting?

People on here ***** because pollard doesn’t have prohm drawn and quartered. But pollard has a history of standing behind his coaches (which has several of them now willing to get rid of him because he won’t fire the coach), which can’t be expressed because people read this.

They see the reality of what this fanbase is now. Read any Tom manning thread.

If you’re correct, Can you, Steve, and JP convince these recruits of that? Because that’s all that matters!

Can you imagine how different the narrative would be had we just “signed” DJ, DDJ, and Toppin? Sure, next year’s COVID19 amended season would be rough, but even the most negative fan could see we’re burning a year to have a great year in 2021-22.

But there will be more quality transfers. Fingers crossed you can share your insights with them ;-) Let’s help Prohm Zoom with these recruits!

Sigh. Prohm, his staff, and Jamie can tell each kid that he’s safe. They can show them his contract, and buyout, and tell them that he will be here for the next 10 years.

but it’s not hard to read social media, and it’s even easier for every single coach recruiting against us to send link after link from this site and 247 with all kinds of special posts about how terrible Steve prohm is.

If he loses one of the nine then JP has to make a move next March unless he makes the tournament. His hand would be forced.

If Steve is that weak of salesmen that he can’t recruit against opposing coaches pointing out disparaging Internet forum posts, then I switch my vote and he needs to go ASAP. It would actually explain a lot as to why he struggles every spring.

You’re a hoot, Cat!! You must be older than even me given this foolishness.
