The OP is not lying, I heard about it last weekend from my cousin who works at the place they are being made. Forgot to post it on Saturday, I guess too much alcohol!

You absolutely wear them for TX if it is actually happening. This is about more than just cool jersey's. Think of the recruiting exposure from the story of Jack Trice. Not only is Trice's story inspiring, but the support he had from the Ames community at that time (when it was rare most places), and still in modern ISU history when it was the student body that demanded the stadium be named after him. Then the fact that it remains the only stadium in college football named for an African American. It's a story that is not even as well known in Iowa as it should be, putting it on a national stage is a no brainer. You don't waste that on a game which is primarily viewed by in state viewers. You want Texas high schoolers watching that story.

That way instead of the national broadcast showing a cornfield a barn and a silo somewhere miles away from Jack Trice they're broadcasting the statue of Jack Trice, or the name on the side of the stadium, or the mural of Jack Trice in the entrance of our brand new state of the art practice facility. And those kids who play HS football in TX don't end the game thinking that ISU is in the middle of a massive corn field with no sign of any sort of civilization.

That... or they'll be scared to come here for fear of being killed on the field.

If the OP is trolling here...and this in fact turns out to be false...I want you to know one thing...

I HAVE A VERY PARTICULAR SET OF SKILLS.

See I did this a month back because I was drunk.. but I did come clean the next day that I had lied and took performance enhancing drugs

Huh, I wrote an article on these uniform designs for the Iowa State Daily when I was a student. That was before I was a member here or anything, but if they are actually made and used, I'm going to geek out. I contacted AD Pollard for the piece and he put the idea to rest in no uncertain terms at the time, but maybe they reconsidered. I certainly hope they roll them out.

I cannot wait to find out. OP, if you're lying, you're going to break my heart.

Made in waterloo? Unless Nike has opened a jersey factory in Waterloo I am calling bs.

We are not allowed to wear anything but Nike so unless they make them there is no chance it happens. I am calling bs on the Waterloo story. I would not be shocked to see them but if they don't happen I won't be let down either.

Need to have the small jersey number on front not the huge one.

Still think this is a troll job though...

Powers Manufacturing in Waterloo, IA sometimes handles orders for Nike. I'm not saying this is legitimate, but it appears to have some validity.

Here is an article that states Powers Manufacturing has a contract with Nike to make all of UNI's uniforms.

All of Iowa's throwback jerseys in recent years have been made here. Since we are not top tier Nike schools, having an outside manufacturer make special one off jerseys like this give schools like ours a more personalized touch. The jerseys will still have a Nike patch on them, but will be made nowhere near Beaverton, OR.
