Correct, but does ISU v Iowa have as much national appeal as the Texas game? The audience for the cyhawk game is very much a state/regionally appealing game.

I'm pumped if this happens at all. Is fan fest when they would announce this, or media day?
Thought we allowed that game to be on long horn network and abc in iowa....

...considering ISU rarely does throwbacks, is the only D1 team with a stadium named for a black person (at a time when black athletes weren't accepted most places), is coming up on the 40th anniversary of naming the stadium for him, the 90th anniversary of his death, and several years worth of built-up desire to see this jersey, the JT throwback isn't just because it "looks cool". The JT jersey is our shared history, our identity as a progressive school, and our future as a football team all rolled into one. so i'd say yes, getting worked up is appropriate.

I'd call that over the top but it still wouldn't do it justice.

Don't get me wrong, they look good and the obvious tie in with Jack Trice is pretty excellent, but at the end of the day, they are just jerseys.

That commercial is awesome. Jerseys or not I am guessing by the commercial that there will be some sort of JT tribute this year.

I'm sure cyclones.tv will probably do a solid feature whenever they do roll them out, and it will be incorporated into the hit tape.

Iowa wore throwback jerseys for our game last year. They were hideous, but they were wayback throwbacks.

I understand why people are excited, but it is really important to remember that what we have seen on this site is NOT OFFICIAL!!!

That being said, I hope that what is real is at least close to that, because those do look fantastic.

i think everyone on this site will be disappointed if they are not darn near identical to the mock ups

Agreed, ugly. More importantly, if these areas good as well hope, they need not be waisted against EIU. National tv, prime time, big 12 opener, 40/90 anniversary... There's only one logical game....
Don't hook'em. Cook'em!
