Maybe she is just sick of paying basketball. With all the basketball they play in AAU, high school, then go to college. It would get old. Some people are just over it and want to be a normal college kid

Cobweb time, I recognize the name but nothing else. https://cyclones.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/lisa-bildeaux/1357Reminds me of a bit like Lisa Bildeaux. She left the team but stayed in school.
How? Crooks already has shown she can score in short spurts and also passes well for her size. I had hoped Izzi would carve out more time by now and seeing Crooks in HS I had my doubts she'd play much this year but she's already looking like she's going to make an impact off the bench this year and if she puts in the work to tone up a bit it will only help her development going forward. To be honest watching Crooks I kept thinking why isn't Izzy playing.
I can’t remember what the woman’s name was, but we had a big name transfer from Wisconsin in the post position and she also left basketball completely.Reminds me of a bit like Lisa Bildeaux. She left the team but stayed in school.

I recall she actually ended up playing somewhere after ISU but still can’t find the info about it.Nina Smith
She also stayed in school at ISU.
She went D2 and dominated. I think the school had "Holy" in the name, but I can't find it at the moment either.I recall she actually ended up playing somewhere after ISU but still can’t find the info about it.
What a negative take. You act like you know something about her mental and physical health??? Do you kwhat it's like to grind for 4 years of D1 athletics? I commend her for making this decision. Good for her.Another sad day as a young scholar athlete leaves our program before exhausting her eligibility, which we’ve seen too frequently over the past several years. There’s no good reason to leave now, one game into the season, and it’s certainly not beneficial to the team. I’m sorry Izzi - thanks for your contributions and I wish you well moving forward.

That takes me in the way back being a hooligan in the stands for CF girls state run when Nina was at West.Nina Smith

That is correct - my perspective, not Izzi's. I grow too attached to these young players and want them all to have the fairy tale experience at ISU, which is an unreasonable expectation. I have enjoyed access to inside information for a number of years, which I'm careful not to betray, and I absolutely respect Izzi's decision to step away. I'm simply saddened by her departure.Saying "no good reason" is from a fan's perspective. Not hers
Many of us get VERY attached to these ladies and it's an easy thing to do with the quality of players the staff bring in. We all wish her the best. That is correct - my perspective, not Izzi's.
