Yes, they were behind 16-0 at home and Lsu was not impressive against a bad team today. I don't think we'll gain 8 spots on them but they'll be out of top 10.

I'm not saying you are wrong, but I think you are overestimating how much the typical AP voter thinks about ranking a team with the pedigree of Clemson. They'll see a close loss to LSU and a double digit win after that and keep them where they are at IMO.

Oklahoma could jump us but Clemson could also drop hard

Clemson won’t drop. The media loves them and acts like Clubnik is Jebus. Guessing we jump Florida, Arizona State, and Michigan, but Oklahoma also jumps us. 14 is my guess in the polls.

The key is staying highly ranked for as long as possible. The longer we stay up there, the less we will fall after a loss.

If we can take care of business at Arkansas State next week, then we've got a bye week followed by Arizona at home. That gives us a chance to be highly ranked almost half way into the season into the season.
