Polls, this early, are for media content. They are really meaningless until 5 or 6 games have been played. After that, they are to prop up specific teams that have under performed.

I really don’t understand why Oklahoma or Texas A&M would be ranked at this point after they both had very mediocre seasons last year. And Bama has no business being ranked at this point being 5-5 over their last ten. This isn’t Saban’s Bama anymore.

• #13 Florida lost to South Florida
• #12 Arizona State trails unranked Miss St 17-0 at half
• #15 Michigan trails #18 Oklahoma 14-0 at half

With that said, Kansas State is on the ropes vs Army. If KState loses this game, we won't move up as much as I'm hoping.

Honestly (and I noted this in my other similar post), I think we’re ranked right about where we deserve.

I'll take what we can get, given if we take a loss or two the pollsters will hit us hard. Taking those hits as a top 10 team (where we could be if we take care of business next week and coast upwards during a bye week) and ending up about where we really belong is preferable to taking those hits as a #15 team and getting knocked all the way out.

Yes, they were behind 16-0 at home and Lsu was not impressive against a bad team today. I don't think we'll gain 8 spots on them but they'll be out of top 10.
