This reminds me of when they Hawks were playing in the finals of the NIT and some of their lunatic fans like these were saying if they win the NIT that would make them the 2nd best team in the country behind the NCAA champions.

We're approaching 10 years ago, but I think the big thing Iowa fans said is that they would rather have a long NIT run than make the NCAA Tournament and be one and done.
