ISU News and Tweets

I don't want to call you guys liars or anything, but Kunc had 4 fouls and I'm pretty sure they were all defensive.
you are picking me apart on this :)

To be fair, they could have called it on someone else, but Kunc was right there. Anybody have a link to the game that I can go back and research? I can only find find a condensed game on the march madness site.

It's interesting how so many people, including the "experts" in the studio, blamed Wisconsin's loss on an injury to a freshman point guard who in 14 minutes had 0 points, 0 assists, and at least 1 turnover.
Side note - I hope that kid gets treatment from someone who really knows what they're doing. An injury like his (complete inversion of the ankle) back when I was 18 was what led in large part to the complete ankle replacement I had last December.

Interesting but fun article to discuss.. best all time rosters and how they compare to each other for teams in the Sweet 16. I'm biased obviously, but I think our team should be ranked higher.

I'd put that ISU team against anybody and good luck. Grayer blew his knee early in his NBA career and Fizer tanked so neither made a big name for themselves in the NBA. College? Those two were phenomenal! Tinsley at the point feeding those guys or just taking his off the dribble would be unstoppable. I'd almost put Cato on that list instead of Niang or Fizer. There's enough scoring with the other 4 a rim protector would be nice.

As much as I would hate to replace Niang, for your reasons above I would go Cato. Keep Fizer.

ISU is ranked about where I expected before I started reading, although I think that team could compete well with most of teams below maybe 7th ... I didn't ponder the rank too closely, quick read-thru -- possibly could place us above Providence but some of those players are prior to my memory.
I noticed that EIU wasn't included. BWAHAAA BWAHAAA

If they reranked the entire field how do you not put Iowa in the play in game?
Nah. Would replace them in the dance with St Bonaventure. They have proven they can advance.

No. I had ISU beating LSU and Wisconsin then losing to Auburn.

I do think we win though and at the moment I think it will be by a decent margin.
I don’t recall you predicting Auburn beating ISU. But I do recall you hoping we would get matched against Wisconsin and predicting a Victory. So I have no reason to doubt your prediction now.

Go Cyclones!!!

Some NCAA history, not a given every year, but solid. Hopefully we can improve on the overall record. I'd like to see us make the NCAA's 3 out of every 4 years. That would be an awesome goal.

We sure didn't have much to brag about prior to 1985. One Final four in 1944! Anybody remember that?

Honestly, I think Arkansas is too high, i'd move Zags and us ahead of them and then providence. With that said, top 9 teams are stone cold locks. Those Bruins and UNC all time teams are crazy....
Arkansas was a National Championship and was runner up the following year. They were one of the top teams of the 90s. The only one I would put behind ISU is Providence.

I was 15 for our first NIT, and had just become a diehard Cyclone fan a few years earlier, so I feel like I became a fan at about the right time!

And Fizer had knee issues fairly early in his NBA career also. It really limited what he could have become in the pros.
They also tried to play Fizer at the 3 instead of the 4 in the NBA. He was a natural 4 so he was playing out of position.
