You could have the CFP committee do a ranking beyond 25 that included all eligible FBS teams (6-6 record or better) then have a draft where the teams pick their destination in order of their ranking. The only rules for the teams is they can't pick a bowl that already has two teams, a bowl that a team they played that season or is in their conference has already picked, or a bowl city they have played in recently. Then let the bowls try to entice the schools to choose them by offering NIL packages for the players of those teams, the experience for the fans, and travel expense budget and accommodations for the schools travel party (team, band, cheerleaders, etc).Yeah I like these. And you could put parameters on it. Eligible teams have to be 6-6 at minimum, etc. That limits the amount of SEC/B10 teams available to jump more deserving teams.
I guess you could have the CFP committee assign the bowls. The draft concept would be more interesting to me.
