I read somewhere that this game would be on ch. 617. Is this part of an extra sports pack? If so, does anyone know how much it costs to upgrade and how long it takes? I would think a phone call would do it. Just want to make sure the game is on there.

Thanks

Yes, the game is on 617 and you will have to have the Sports Pack ($12.99) to get it. As of right now, it probably doesn't show up on the menu guide but will most likely appear sometime tomorrow or Saturday morning at the very latest. You can upgrade online or they will upgrade you while you're on the phone with them. There's no wait period.

There are many other threads on this very topic. Look in the Football forum.

No, it will likely not be on Dish network.

When you get the Sports Pack, are you bind to a certain number of months, or could you cancel it right away?

No, you only have to maintain if for a month and then you can cancel after that. I usually subscribe for the length of the football season and then dump it in November.

I recall from another post in the past that you want to make sure to keep it for the full month though. Otherwise you pay a cancel fee. So the 12.99 or whatever it is for the month is all you need to pay.

Keep in mind that most PPV games are around 25-30 bucks, so this is a pretty small price to pay to catch an ISU game on TV.

Also, it's not been confirmed (that I'm aware of) that the game will be on 617, though Cyclones.com does list it as being available, and DirecTV has shown pretty much every FCS game on it so far.
