I think the sweet thing is we've been pretty consistent in the AP all season. Not popping in and out like some teams. How many weeks straight has Hoiball been ranked? He's doing a fab job.
So in your opinion MVC 1 > Big 12 2?
Absolutely not. You'll see that reflected in tournament seeding. I think finishing with a record of 28-2 earns you a higher ranking than 24-6. The top 25 rankings is not a rank of the 25 best teams in order. It's a ranking of 25 schools most deserving of a number, in order.
Which is exactly why I would love getting a game with them in the tournamentWhat I can't believe everyone excepts is Gonzaga....they've only played TWO rated teams, they beat SMU (mid major) and lost to Arizona, yet this is a 1 seed? This program has been a bust for nearly 10 years. They never live up to their NCAA seed and seem to still be living off of the hype of their 90's teams that had deep tourney runs. Easily the most overrated team this year (pry last year too).
NOOOOOO...I said without regards to what KU does!! Leave KU out of this...if both UNI and ISU win out in the regular season, in your personal opinion, SHOULD UNI remain ranked ahead of ISU? This has absolutely nothing to do with KU. I'm really not looking for an argument, I just want your personal opinion.
If both teams win out. Yes UNI should be ranked ahead of ISU BASED ON THEIR RECORD AND ONLY THEIR RECORD.
This is literally the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard.
I'm not sure why anyone would ever compile a ranking if it's supposed to represent something entirely pointless and stupid.
You just said that 100s of high school teams and 4th grade teams should be ranked in front of ISU. We're talking that type of disconnect.
Maybe, Yes, No, Maybe. How is it ridiculous? Do you think Utah is a better team than:
Maryland
Oklahoma
North Carolina
Baylor
Do you think Butler is a better team than:
Georgetown
Michigan State
Oklahoma State
Texas
The top 25 rankings are completely meaningless come Selection Sunday.
You're doing this wrong.
The voters don't all vote the same way. It is ambiguous. Seth Davis said earlier in the year that gonzaga has probably reached its top in his ballot which is 5th I think. Either way uni is a good team that plays a soft sched, that will hurt them in seeding. Its not there fault there conf sucks I get it. The statement that uni deserves there rank is dumb but not something for me to get upset over. Seedinv is what matters. Congrats on first top 10You cant. ISU cannot be #1 if Kansas does not lose.

Does that mean I'm saying UNI>ISU? NO. UNI should be given a number higher than ISU's number.
Come March. Should UNI be given a higher seed than ISU? Absolutely not. They'll be given a seed which reflects their SOS, their RPI, their strength of conference.
No. 100s of D2, JUCO, High school, middle school, and grade school teams have better records than UNI.
You don't think competition matters in a voter poll ranking, so UNI is worse than all of them.

I wish they bring back BracketBusters event. Good way to eliminate those high ranked mid-majors.
