If you swing a broken bottle at someone during a bar fight and everyone is drunk it is very easy to argue that he had no intent to kill him. If he held him down and sliced his throat while saying "die!" you could charge him with attempted murder.

A good friend doesn't let the situation escalate to that point. And when the guy is built like a football player, I'm not going to step in unless I've got help. And lots of it. Especially that early in the morning when people are drunk. That's a good way to make a bad situation worse.

I'm also not going to throw out too much of a judgment either way here. We're hearing one side of the story and the party posting has obvious reason to exaggerate the situation.

*Note: Wallace Franklin is a scumbag and waste of oxygen regardless of the outcome.
