Iowa @ Wisconsin

With that said, I've seen Hogue cross that line between hard play and going too far on the court as well. A lot of teams have guys who occasionally let their emotions get the best of them. It isn't unique to Iowa. Doesn't mean I'm a fan of it, but lets not act like it is just Iowa guys doing it. That would be naïve.

When have you seen Hogue go full bush league when ISU is losing? Because that's what I'm talking about. There's playing hard and crossing the line and then there is what I've seen Iowa consistently do in the few times I've watched them.

It's not unique to them but most teams have enough leadership to keep the cheap shots under control. Obviously others don't.

I thought the announcers went a bit overboard on Woodbury, but in their defense, they really needed SOMEthing to talk about...

This is really how I feel...... there was nothing to talk about in regards to the game... it was over. Woodbury just happened to be guilty on a slow news game.

Here's a better gif of the eye pokes plus bonus head rub. What a weirdo.

Woodbury to Kaminsky: "Pretty biiiird.... pretty biiiiiird..... can you say pretty bird?"

I partly agree with this sentiment and appreciate the humor. However, the lopsided nature of the game is part of what makes the actions so bush league. It's not like an elbow thrown in a heated battle, it's just childish crap. Imagine if he actually injured one of their better players doing his stupidity.

Just jumping into this thread.

1. I think announcers may have gone a little to overboard with it

BUT

2. Remember, Dakich was given a death threat by an State Patrol officer. While he shouldn't let that effect him, I'm sure that making national news got his attention and was probably on his mind last night.

The first eye poke looked like an accident. The second one was not.

Perhaps what Fran means is that Adam just doesn't know what his wingspan is and that he didn't realize he could reach that far.

Would also explain why he's been such a monumental flop in his career

Interesting. I hadn't put those two things together.

Whenever something like this happens, it never surprises me how sanctimonious and biased some people on this board get. If anybody thinks what the Goof did last night was any different or worse than what Kane did at BYU last year, I guess we're just watching different games.
