Hello, blowout: Wisconsin (17-2) steams past Iowa, 82-50.
This ... it's a sign that Wisconsin is lord of the Big Ten. Which we knew. But, damn. Iowa wasn't even competitive from the tip. The 13-6 Hawkeyes can be a Jekyll-and-Hyde kind of team. Trust me, I've seen a lot of Iowa hoops in the past three seasons, and coming off a game like this, Fran McCaffery is absolutely capable of getting his guys turned around and winning by 15 in their next game out.
Weird that Iowa was so far behind even though it shot 43 percent from the field, which isn't great but obviously not dreadful. The problem was Wisconsin had one turnover. One. And 15 O boards.
Frank Kaminsky had 13 points and 11 rebounds. Adam Woodbury poked Kaminsky and Nigel Hayes' eyes tonight, and neither looked accidental. It was actually pretty annoying to watch, and hopefully McCaffery punishes Woodbury. Bush league play there, and he should've been taken out after the Kaminsky annoyance (he wasn't).
