Iowa State Dance Marathon!

Hello Fellow CF'ers!

I'm currently involved with a very large organization here on campus called Dance Marathon! For those of you who aren't familiar with DM, it is a charity event that is run by students here on campus and is partnered with the Children's Miracle Network. Students pledge that they will raise $250 to help those in need, the money we raise will be headed over to the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. (yeah yeah UofI) BUT, that money will have ISU written alllllllll over it, and how cool would it be to have Iowa State University plastered all over the wall in Iowa City? The year culminates with a 12-40 hour long event where the students stay on their feet through dancing, games, and entertainment in celebration of the amount raised this year! Last year ISU DM raised 477,000 dollars with this years goal of 1 Million dollars. As a cyclone, I'm asking fellow cyclones for all the help we can get to raise money for such a great cause! Even a single dollar would help!

I had a chance to interact with some families impacted by the generosity from the work of Dance Marathon. This is a really solid program that helps families in need with very ill children. It is well worth supporting this effort.

Seriously everyone, DM is a pretty awesome cause for you to donate too if you're in a position to be able to give some to charities. This is definitely a great one and being able to donate to ISU's is even better because it reflects greatly on the university, the students and alumni. My fiancee is on the dance marathon executive committee this year, so it's a little more near and dear to me than the average joe, but nonetheless it is an awesome organization.

I was just going to say, thanks for giving us a road game today, or else we'd get to have a strange discussion about Dance Marathon on CF again

For those who care to know, this year's total raised was over $444,000! Pretty amazing work out of many ISU students!
