Iowa State Baseball?

Just a few years ago, ISU had better facilities than Mizzu, Nebraska and KU, around 2000 all three of those programs made a commitment of $2-10 million to baseball and since then all have made the post season. Mizzu has become a conistant top 15 program, Nebraska a consistant top 25 team, and Kansas a team that will reach the post season every now and then.

It would take at least a $8 million stadium to have a legit program in the big 12. With the talent base already in Iowa, combined with the JUCO programs around, I have no doubt ISU could be a consistant top 40 program.

I would rather invest 8 million into football and basketball.

Honestly, I could care less about ISU baseball.

Who the flip cares about baseball at ISU ... when we had a team what did they average for attendance? We had it ... no one supported it ... end of story.

maybe its the end of YOUR story. others care, get over it. maybe yall should find another thread to entertain yourselves.

When did you become the thread police?

I love when individuals can only accept the positive comments but get all bent out of shape when someone disagrees.

Did you use the word "yall"? That's hilarious cowboy. :biglaugh:

i became the thread police when you became ignorant. oh and people in texas say yall, have you ever been outside of iowa?

I mean sure nobody seemed to support it then, but now that its gone, everybody would like to see it come back. But as i realize it now, it makes me think of a part of a Hootie and the Blowfish song, idk i think its hootie and blowfish, "that you've don't know what ya got til its gone". I think thats pretty much what i believe sums it up.

Sweet, I'm ignorant because I stated what the majority of I-State fans thought about baseball when we had it. I wish that Iowa State could fund more varsity sports but we can't and that is just the cold hard truth.

So because we don't care if baseball comes back, that makes us ignorant? :biglaugh:

Been outside of Iowa lots!! Even went down to Texas a few times. :wideeyed:

Its nice to hear this is some baseball talent in the state. Since ISU has done away with baseball other programs have benifited.
