Inflexibility in scheduling

Gotta ask... Why are you so fired up about this?

Let's say OK ST has another game canceled. Now we're pushing the championship game back to after Christmas. If Iowa St were to play them in Dallas we'd be sitting idle for 3 weeks.

I just feel when they saw Tech was out of the hunt it would of made sense to flip the two games.

Or they just cancel the other game and go with OSU having one less game. The big 12 has said the championship will be played either 12/19. They set two to make a little flexibility but they aren’t pushing it back further because a good chunk of games have been played already.

You think they wouldn't reschedule bedlam?

If OSU has another game canceled they will probably just move the OSU/Baylor game up to Friday and then have the other rescheduled game on Sunday. Heck if they can do Saturday/Monday in Big 12 Basketball they should be able to do it for football. Amirite?

I need to go to the clinic. I think this thread gave me the cancer.

I'd be good with that.

The scheduling, not "the cancer." :)

But they'd take a 7-1 ok st and dismiss a 6-2 OU because they ran out of dates? You're making the argument for me. The conference would implode.
No it wouldn’t implode. You seem awfully wound up by this. It is no different than Wisconsin and Purdue probably being the top two in the big ten west and not playing each other. People knew when the season started that Covid cancellations could determine who was in the championship, every one took the gamble. Maybe we can’t play Texas because of it and it doesn’t get rescheduled. It will come down to tie breakers. Is it ideal, no, but it’s a lot better then not playing at all.

If OU gets left out because they didn't get to play the Pokes we'd see a huge **** storm coming out of Norman. Same for Austin if our game was canceled.

The B10 and P12 set it up to fail. They refused to follow trying instead to show how wokeness works. Well, it didn't and now their situation approaches embarrassing.

One thing I don’t understand is why the conference doesn’t have all the teams the weeks line up. It would allow for re-scheduling if needed.

I guess we should just give up and quit playing...would that make you happier?

Oh noes. OU fans will have sit at home during the Big 12 championship game this year. Guess they shouldn't have lost to ISU and K-State early in the year.
