Not gonna lie, I didn’t have Jim Cantore wearing a batting helmet on my hurricane Ian bingo card.

He’s been wearing it for a couple hurricane seasons now. I think it’s a riot gear helmet, but it sure does look like he’s that one kid on the little league team who had a mustache and drove a Trans-Am.Not gonna lie, I didn’t have Jim Cantore wearing a batting helmet on my hurricane Ian bingo card.
We were without for 2 days (North central Cedar Rapids) but my in-laws in southeast CR were without for 8 days as well. It was a very wooded part of town so it took them days to just clear the trees. Plus a major power line tower toppled at the corner of Collins Rd and East Post. I’m shocked at how quickly they removed the old tower and had the new one up. It was like 5-6 days. When the derecho hit in 2020, we were without power for eight days in Marion/CR area. Had to track down a generator in Dubuque midway through that time.
Still kinda cool.I think the shark thing is footage from something else a few years ago.
……….. microphone……………. Dude???I want to watch her put it on the microphone.
Probably in the minority here, but Cantore’s antics make him look like a complete jackass. The whole wading into the water, going out into 100+ mph winds in the name of “showing you what it’s like so you won’t chance it yourself” is some hypocritical ********. The dude is an adrenaline junkie, and that’s pretty much the extent of why he’s doing that stuff. Not gonna lie, I didn’t have Jim Cantore wearing a batting helmet on my hurricane Ian bingo card.

No one’s going to mention that the tweet is from Hard Factor?Looks like she could use some more practice with that. I offer to go down there and be the teacher.

I can honestly say in the 40 years I have lived in the Midwest, I have never had a multi day power outage. The most I can recall being out is maybe 6 or 7 hours.
