How to make Farmageddon a trophy game?

Traveling trophy is a mint condition Deere 4020, new paint and the whole ten yards. Etch the games/scores on the panels of it from all of history, and continue to do so going forward with results of the games. The 4020 sits outside of/in the football facility of the winners for the year.

It would be a photo op for tailgating in a big way.

I was really thinking we need to truly have a few more trophy games and just add to the game and rivalry. This one for sure needs to happen.

Would be pretty cool to have an antique tractor parade before the game even if it was outside the stadium and coordinated with kickoff. Sponsorship could then come from Deere, Case etc... like the idea of a pitchfork for a trophy, it could have a small square of imitation hay on the end for safety sake.

Considering the mad scramble to claim the trophy after a game, I'm not sure a trophy with multiple sharp pointed ends would be a good idea.

Disagree - Gophers and Badgers do a pretty good job of not decapitating one another with Paul Bunyan's Axe.

And I bet they could get John Deere or Case to be a corporate sponsor of the trophy (Depending on the make of the tractor of course).

Case is already a sponsor of both Iowa State and Kansas State athletics. Just get one of their tractors and paint half of it purple. Easy trophy.

This is one of the rare cases where you could still add a trophy since the history between the two teams is so long. Hope something materializes, that would be pretty neat.

If we go with the tractor idea I think we should be looking at tractors from 1917 to signify the first meeting of the rivalry. Like this or similar.

To answer the original question of this thread, how to make it a trophy game?

Just make a trophy and deliver it to winning team after game. Trying to get the schools to do it or a sponsor will take too long.

The old ask for forgiveness vs permission, that way if trophy sucks then someone is more likely to get it done.
