The name 'Farmageddon' to me seems disrespectful of the farming heritage of both schools. To have a trophy to enshrine the disrespect? Thanks, but NO!

Not sure if serious? The name 'Farmageddon' to me seems disrespectful of the farming heritage of both schools. To have a trophy to enshrine the disrespect? Thanks, but NO!
Yes, serious. Find a different name, then maybe there is something to talk about. There's a reason why people instantly started to refer to that ill-fated Corn trophy when this was brought up. Its a historic series. The name 'Farmageddon' trivializes it.Not sure if serious?
I suggested in a post to the DMR site in 2007 that this game would make a good neutral site game. The rationale was that KSU had no true rival, and both schools needed cash. Nebby was a rival on the field, but would never lower themselves to agree to something like this. KU's true rival was MU, who they played annually in Arrowhead. ISU loves KC, and how could KSU refuse given their own proximity? The 2007 KU-MU game at Arrowhead was a classic "Border War", of course, and a play-in for the Big 12 championship game.Yup - that's what I found in Wiki. I found the part in blue interesting.
The Iowa State–Kansas State football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Iowa State Cyclones and Kansas State Wildcats. The two Big 12 Conference rivals have played every year since 1917, making it the 8th-longest continuous series in college football history and the nation's single longest never-interrupted college football rivalry. The game in October 2016 marked the 100th straight year the two teams have met.
Please no. We don't need to make up a bunch of meaningless trophies like the B1G has, just to fill up your trophy case. Dumb.

I like the tractor idea. Drive that thing to the game and park it in the end zone.
Winner keeps it for the year and drives it to the game.
The biggest, baddest trophy in sports and shows that KSU and ISU are AHF AF
Ok, lets work this concept. Here is a route, according to Google Maps, you might drive a tractor from Ames to Manhattan. It is an automobile route that avoids highways:Open station tractor as the trophy - winner keeps it on their campus for the year. Engrave scores in the sheet metal from all the games. This would be a sweet photo op for people to sit on it and get a pic a few times a year at different events, with supervision of course.
Also, the losing coach has to drive the open station tractor to the opposing team campus in late November.
Don’t they have trailers for that sort of thing?Ok, lets work this concept. Here is a route, according to Google Maps, you might drive a tractor from Ames to Manhattan. It is an automobile route that avoids highways:
Google Maps Route from JTS to BSFS
The route is ~ 350 miles, and 6 hours, 8 minutes by car. By tractor, it would take at least twice that amount of time. Too much for one day, so you would need a stop over. If you look closely at the route, you will see that the approximate halfway point is Clarinda, IA - just east of Shenandoah. Who do we know from that region who could sponsor an annual event of this magnitude?

When I first saw "Farmageddon", it felt like someone was making fun of . . . ISU, KSU, farmers, the game . . . something in a way I couldn't quite put my finger on. Since then, it seems at least ISU fanbase has embraced the moniker. Presuming the KSU fanbase does too, I now think of it almost like folklore or tradition. The name 'Farmageddon' to me seems disrespectful of the farming heritage of both schools.
