How dangerous is UCF?

We’ve got two road games left against bottom half Big 12 teams that aren’t projected to make the tournament - we’ve won all our road conference games against similar teams this season.

We’ve got one home game left against 8-7 BYU. We are undefeated at home.

How anyone has talked themselves into being satisfied with a 1-2 finish is beyond me. It must be a defense mechanism. Screw that! Let’s win them all and have a shot at the conference title! Or at least take 2 out of 3 and finish 13-5 which would be one helluva year!

They are legit. I think with a well put together game, we can win decisively though. If we stink it up, we could get pummeled too. Life in the Big 12.

At home very tough. Excellent defensive team. Playing better as of late. If we bring our game we win. If we are off like we were portions of our last two games, we lose.

They have the makeup of a team we'll stuggle against in the half court, but I could see us easily generating 10+ turnovers in the first half and building a lead. I think itll be ugly but we should come away with something like a 60-48 win

No team can be overlooked. ISU has been slow and sluggish offensively the last 2 games (At home)... I hope this is not fatigue setting in. ISU cannot afford to start playing this way the rest of the season. They need to level set and get back on track offensively.

4 of us are waiting at a gate to board a flight to Orlando to cheer on the Clones. With that being said, ISU needs to be ready for this game. UCF is dangerous and licking their chops at another top ten upset.

Pav will be lucky to play more than 5 minutes in this game, so I am not sure that his name bears significance here. Tamin and Keshon is perhaps who you meant.
No, I meant Pav. On paper, Pav may not get much time in this one, but it's hard to know what the foul situation may dictate and if TJ is trying to lengthen his bench to give others more rest at this point in the season. Besides, Lipsey's gotten in trouble with fouls with several games, so it's safe to assume that TJ will insert Pav when needed. Tamin may also need to be spelled more often if the physicality is like I'm expecting.

As far as driving the lane:

- I'm fine with Pav driving the lane. It's weird, but sometimes his handle it tighter in the lane than when he's got space. He's just gotta be smart about when the situation is favoring the blocker and back it out or dish it off.

- Keshon is the most creative when driving the lane, but he's usually good for one or two "nervous chihuahua I-don't-have-a-plan-now-that-I'm-down-here" moments a game.

- I'm almost always ok with Lipsey driving against anyone. Mainly because he normally picks his moments versus forcing it. As long as he goes up strong and into the blocker instead of fading away once he gets close, he can usually draw a foul. It seems like when he drives and then tries to fadeaway to the side is when he gets blocked the easiest.

Dawkins’ teams usually defend well. A little nervous about our offense if it is MIA again.

UFC is pretty dangerous, I saw a guy break his shin on another guy's shin, a former champ.

Also UCF fans told me they love being called "Central", or "Central Flo". We should all call them "Central" as much as possible.

I know we're all thinking Big 12 champs / 2-seed / Final Four now but I'd be pretty happy with a 1-2 finish here. I remember looking at our Big 12 schedule pre-season and thinking we could be pretty good and still finish like 6-12!
I wouldn't say I'd be happy with that finish, but I would be thrilled with the overall result of 12-6 in conference, as that is outstanding. I'd be thrilled to go 2-1 or 3-0, and I think that would put this team in the conversation with the 99-00 and 00-01 teams
