Hotel recommendations in Vegas?

In Vegas, I stayed at the Bellagio and really enjoyed it. The fountain show is great, and the location on the strip is unbeatable. If you're looking for something a bit more budget-friendly, I've also heard good things about the LINQ. They have a great location as well and a really fun pool area. But now, I'm on the hunt for some options without breaking the bank. BTW, I recently went on a trip to Spain and found a website that lists all accommodations in the resort cities. I was able to find some really affordable options there. I wonder if we have something similar for Vegas.

Vdara is nice but a bit pricey. Avoid New York New York if you plan on drinking too much. It took me 45 minutes to find the right elevator one hazy night.

MGM- would be my vote, I love it because the Cheapest place in vegas to play blackjack is right across the street at the OYO hotel. They have $5 blackjack 24/7 also the hooters is a nice touch.

I have stayed at Mandalay, Excalibur, Mirage, and Wynn.

Going forward it will be hard for me not to stay at the Wynn every time. Nothing but good things to say. Specifically, my wife and I are pool people. The Wynn vibe is perfect for a middle aged guy like me who just wants to read and have some drinks.

my wife and I are the same way. We want to go out there and try all the different pools. The wave pool at Mandalay was awesome.

Bump.

Tentatively going in October for Packers-Raiders and will build in a couple additional nights. Hotels seem a little pricier around that time, so trying to narrow it down. Unsure what else will be on the agenda at this point besides some casino time.

Looking to be mid strip for walkability to other places and a quick ride down to Mandalay/stadium area. Like Aria, but it’s a little out there price wise that weekend. MGM Grand and Park MGM look like good options, Planet Hollywood and Paris are more reasonable $$. Bellagio and Caesar’s are a little pricier, but not so much I wouldn’t mind as a splurge.

Any feedback on these if you’ve stayed there? Pools aren’t a dealbreaker but somewhere with at least a decently nice pool would be ideal. Nice casino, or at least close to another? Decent bars and eats? (not looking to go clubbing)

Was out there in November. The stadium is a lot more to the south and off the strip than it seems. Just spend the money and do it big. That’s what Vegas is all about!

We stayed at the Mandalay Bay for the ISU game out there a few years back, easy walk to the stadium, just had to walk over the bridge to get there. They have a rail system that takes you more towards the middle of the strip, and then we got on another that took up downtown. If you are going for the game, I would stay at Mandalay Bay.

Mandalay was on the pricey end of things from what I saw. I know it’s close to the stadium but it’s too far from everything else. Which is why I said mid strip in my OP

Mid-strip offers the best of both worlds for walkability and quick access to different areas. While Aria is a bit pricey, the MGM Grand and Park MGM seem like solid alternatives. Planet Hollywood and Paris also sound like they're worth considering for their more reasonable rates. It's awesome that you're factoring in the pool and casino vibes. Mandalay Bay's proximity to the stadium and its rail system for exploring the strip makes it a convenient choice, especially for the game. And if you plan a trip to Amsterdam one day, I can share more info on top hotels in amsterdam. Some places will make your stay unforgettable.

I'm an Aria guy thru and thru.
If you get a corner quite your room will also come with an available dorm fridge next to mini bar fridge. There's a convenience store at the entrance to Aria, so you can stock up on waters and beers.

Park MGM is now smoke free. I usually get lunch at Eately there atleast once.

We're going this fall and decided on Caesars. That was largely due to location and the shows we want to see. Like anything, location is the most important variable!
