Chris Sheridan, Editor-in-chief for Sheridan Hoops, tweeted "An NBA big shot who I know and trust just told me a coach is getting fired in the next couple days, and nobody sees it coming."

Who is this guy and why should you believe him? good question. According to Wikipedia "In July, 2014, he was the first major NBA journalist to report that LeBron James would sign with and return to the Cleveland Cavaliers during his free agency."
Fred may have additional options to consider or barter against....
The only thing I would disagree with was the 'recruiting wasn't the problem in the McDermott era', and I don't mean that as a slam on TJ because I know he was responsible for a lot of the good players Greg got. But recruiting and coaching were problems.
McDermott's last roster was the only one that could even sniff the NCAA tournament as far as talent went...for every Craig Brackins there was a Marcus Brister, Clayton Vette, Cory Johnson that we landed...anytime you have Bryan Petersen, Sean Haluska, and Charles Boozer seeing significant minutes in your backcourt past year one, recruiting IS a problem.
Usually no news is good news. So why does it not feel this way?!?!
If there weren't good players leaving every year because of McDermott there would have been more talented rosters.
Selfishly kind of hoping it's Hornacek.
Didn't "sources" say it would be all over a couple of weeks ago?
He's probably leaving for Chicago, and if I hear anybody moaning how our season is over already next year because he is gone is fair game to be muted by me.

Chicago firing Thibs might actually create an opening in Phoenix. Would be ironic if Thibs went to Suns after Bulls tried to block him from other jobs.
I don't know who you've been reading but I've certainly never alluded to that. Not even in the slightest. We knew this would be a process with the Bulls/Thibs situation. This was never going to be a quick deal.
Blatt is not going to be fired. It's not happening.
That's true...still though. We brought in guys on scholarship that couldn't beat out the likes of Petersen and Haluska in year 3. Yikes!
And the squad that Fred inherited (minus Dendy and Hamilton) finished dead last Fred's first year despite a monster year out of Jake Anderson, who was not a McDermott guy.
