His brother is at Indian Hills maybe he’ll go there.

Got to see him in action in Carlisle last Saturday....He gets after it for sure. Every match is life or death.

Mac Crosson, I went to school with his dad and we were pretty good friends. Last spoke with him about a year ago. Dad will be heavily involved if there is any recruitment and likes front runners. Think jumping from team to team because they win. Was a Packers fan and then Patriots and now Chiefs. All about winning. Mac puts in the work for real.

*Mac has a brother named Cain. Their dad named them after our high school wrestling coach McCain.

Carlisle has quite the team. Serrano, Rider, Hemsted, Lucas, Miller and Soto. All are homegrown except Soto and most are seniors? Have grandkids at Carlisle and one wrestled for them

Yep, all seniors with the exception of Miller who is a Junior. Miller and Hemsted go for first tomorrow night. The kids you mentioned have been the bricks in the wall of turning the program around. Finished 7th at state too. Pretty proud of them.

Amazing how the top guys have run through their brackets. Tons of pins & techs, even in the semis. There's lots of talent in Iowa, but it's spread pretty thin. Can't help but wonder if we'd be better off with one fewer class or go to single class. Or it would be great to wrestle off the class champs but that will never happen.
 
What the heck does being “home grown” even mean with regards to the Central Iowa area? It’s not like these kids stay within the confines of their school district their entire life. Half of them probably go to Jefferson 3x a week for their primary wrestling training.

What/who program is an option in Jefferson?

I grew up in the area/have lived out of state for 20+ yrs. I’m assuming it’s a club but I have no idea what prominent name would start a club in Jefferson.

It’s a weird comment to make, for sure. My daughter knows all these kids except Woody, and part of that is because he’s a freshman who’s not even in the same building as her.
