If I missed anyone that is a potential recruit please put their name down and I'll add it to the OP

With the new wrestler limit I’m guessing only 4 (maybe 5) of your prospects would be actually considered by ISU.

I think Nico DeSalvo would be a great fit in Ames. He'd be at the top of my list from that group
Here’s to hoping he has a little growth spurt in him. I realize he’s only a SO, but at 113, he has some growing to do. If he does, I know he worked out at M2 for a year or so with David Taylor.

I feel like a lot of the guys I listed would do well at UNI, they tend to develop smaller school guys really well.

I agree with @stuclone that Nico DeSalvo should be at the top of our list for in state kids

Yeah, the success ratio of 1A guys has been weak. I would probably cross them off.
Both Landers and Youngblut were both #1 seeds at Fargo last year, Landers didn't place but Youngblut placed 5th. TJ Koester's relative, Brayden, won Fargo at 175

DeSalvo did not place at Fargo last year either. Not sure if Rinken wrestled at Fargo last year

Is DOBO Gilbervle DonBosco?

If so, it’s crazy how long the school pumps out good HS wrestlers with the last name Youngblut.

Has Iowa State ever had a Lisbon or Don Bosco kid on the roster? Seems like maybe one a while back

Has Castillo had any close matches this year?
Ames was at the Steve Deike Duals in Hampton and Castillo was warming up with the team but did not weigh in. I think that a lot of the teams collectively let out a huge sigh of relief when they found out that he wasn't going to wrestle. I don't usually look at rankings as an official, but Castillo was one wrestler I was looking forward to seeing in Hampton. Too bad he sat out - but I get it.
