Pick avatar me, just not Frost, what do we need help recruiting nebraska and iowa? No, we'll get an Ocord from another region for recruiting purposes. Also its good top shelf programs want our guys.

Ron Zook. Don't let him call plays or coach, just let the 5 star recruits rain. :jimlad:

Is That want Oregon wanted help with when they hired him as WR Coach? I don't think so this guy is sharp, not saying I put him first because of the lack of being an OC but it would be a good get.

Count me firmly in the Mangino camp. Would be a huge get.

Literally and figuratively

Re: ***Offensive Coordinator Search Thread***

Since our head coach is a defensive guy, I think we need somebody with coordinator experience at least. I'd be comfortable with hiring a position coach as a defensive coordinator with Rhoads to provide support, but not as an offensive coordinator.

I would think about looking in the FBS or even lower ranks for a head coach or offensive coordinator that fits the bill. Think about where Malzahn was 6 years ago.

Mangino would be fantastic IMO, but I just don't see it happening.

Chris.... After reading backgrounds on your sugggested possible OC replacements, to me, it became clear that they need to go after Tony Franklin. I doubt that there are many coaches that have as good a grasp on how to correctly run the spread as Tony Franklin. Since he and CPR know each other well, it would not surprise me to see him named OC.

Mangino would be towards the top of my list, as would Frost. I could get behind Kingsbury as well, even though I worry if his success is mostly due to Case. Franklin was a guy I wanted for OC when we first hired Rhoads, so I wouldn't mind that hire either. We've got a lot of good options, really. I have confidence that CPR will find somebody good.

@ADArnaud4 @ChrisMWilliams Kingsbury was with Holgerson when Holgerson was recruiting JB to Houston. Familiarity will be there.

@ChrisMWilliams @ADArnaud4 Tony Franklin would be great for JB. Ran his system in high school. So terminology would not be an issue for JB.
