THIS EXACTLY! In the first match-up this season after he hit 2 or 3 treys, I yelled in a room full of clones watching the game, "How hasn't that guy graduated yet!!?!? How do they have another one!" I was none to happy.
It seems there have been several players over the years who fit that whole "this guy must be on his 7th year of eligibility" role. I usually associate it with players I dislike. Jason Sutherland from Mizzou ring a bell? Boddicker from UT is another. Keiton played and started most of his four year career...yeah, he was here a long time! That kid's motor never stopped. He's now our assistant strength and conditioning coach.
I think Forte is going to be a solid player. He's been in a shooting slump the last several games, but has a knack for getting timely steals and is ice at the free throw line. He's a little taller than Page and more athletic. What he doesn't have is Page's ability to score going to the basket. I have no idea how Page would get a layup off when guarded by bigger and more athletic players (pretty much anyone else on the court), but he did. Forte has had so many layups rejected I wince when he drives in.
