Harrison Barnes rally role call

Then have the current/ maybe former players in there to greet him.

We need this in addition to the packed house. Make the place dark with the fans chanting "Barnes". Start playing "Get Ready for This". Then bring him out with a spotlight amid cheers, and turn up the lights with the fans chanting. Finally escort him to prime seats to watch the exhibition, and have various former players and dignitaries there to greet him:

Fred Hoiberg can tell him he is passing the baton as The Mayor.
Marcus Fizer can tell him he is the man to right the wrong and lead ISU to the final four.
Jamaal Tinsley can tell him about the great educational opportunity that ISU offers.
And Johnny Orr can regale him with stories and antecdotes for the rest of the night.

Are you really sure you want Tinsley telling Barnes about the great educational opportunities at ISU???? Maybe Paul Shirley, but probably not Jamaal.

Loved Tinsley as a player, not sure I want him as an ambassador in the recruitment of Barnes though. Like the rest of it.

I left out the :jimlad: because it seemed unnecessarily obvious. But no, I would not want Tinsley talking to recruits about ISU's academics, or anything else for that matter. But having Paul Shirley there would be a great idea.

Um, Harrison is going to Wartburg. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Harrison wearing a Watrburg Knights shirt at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!

Before anyone plans a "Welcome Back" reception or party or anything for Harrison, or for that matter, any type of organized activity trying to get him to come to ISU......you might want to check with someone at the Athletic Department to see what is even legal, or what might be frowned upon by the NCAA. Just saying........

I'm up for it!

We don't have a snowball's chance of landing Harrison Barnes. Insisting that we still do, does nothing but distract from the disastrous three-year run Greg Mcdermott has made as the head basketball coach.
I can't wait for Barnes to tell us that it's North Carolina or Duke.
When this pipe-dream finally ends, maybe people will notice that we've got a coach that's gone 14-37 against the Big 12.

Wow. Still whining. You're a winner.
