Red Ball Jets? You were rich. We wore JCPenney shoes. From the catalog. What responsible parent wouldn't grab the Hali's for their growing kid? I'm sure I would have had greater success in life If my folks would have invested in Pro Keds rather than the Red Ball Jets when I was a youth. I remember how I scored much easier in kick ball after upgrading from the Kmarts.![]()
I remember in 5th grade going to a guys garage who had fake leather shoes and 4 stripes. That was a bad first two months of school….until I made the dog eat them.Red Ball Jets? You were rich. We wore JCPenney shoes. From the catalog.
I'd probably buy some for one of the kids if they weren't 95 bucks. The Hali colorways are pretty underwhelming compared to most signature shoes. The kids are usually rocking some variation of Tatums, KDs, Lebrons, Lukas or Ja's. My oldest bought a pair of Melo's Pumas and never wore them.
I think we only spent like 75 on my sons Lebrons recently and IMO they look way better.

I’ve never liked LeBron’s signature shoes at all. Always way too bulky.
IMO I like the Sabrina’s the most this year.
Pfffft. My mom packed my feet with cow manure and wrapped it up in old rags.Red Ball Jets? You were rich. We wore JCPenney shoes. From the catalog.
