Gundy

If OSU and WVU don't have enough NIL, what do you think we have?
I think ISU has done a better job building relationships with more than one donor. I also think ISU and We Will have worked really hard to build up the grass roots and crowd source fundraising, with many donors who are able to donate small amounts.

Gundy always seemed to have elite wide outs and good QBs, but that hasn't been the case the last couple of years.

Iowa state is in a head and shoulders different NIL situation than OSU and WVU. With that being said it’s still way different and needs work compared to the other brands

ISU and Blum have done about as good of a job as possible for a school that doesn’t have a lot of deep pocket fans and donors.

That being said, we’re still not a big money school or fanbase, so it still needs to be nurtured.

Wait, I thought hawk fans said we have a couple of mega-donors funding our programs?

OSU fans on Reddit think the Falcons OC is the favorite

He's got a touch of racist in him. Didn't he say something he had to apologize for? Chuba Hubbard era I believe?
A former Colorado player claimed he used a racial slur during a game in 1989. He denied it. Whether or not it happened, you would hope there was some personal growth considering he worked around kids of various races for 36 years after that.

I think we are a little early in the adjustment period and things haven't been stable long enough for it to play out this way yet, but I wonder if eventually a good Big 12 job like OSU can pull a head coach and staff from a upper half but not elite school in the Big Ten or SEC where they know their path to the CFP is blocked. I think, after awhile, those schools are going to see issues with recruiting.

I'm surprised they didn't wait until after the season to do this but maybe there is something else going on in that lockeroom right now that made OSU think it couldn't wait until later?

I have always liked Gundy, he definitely was never shy to defend his players publicly when he felt they were receiving unfair criticism or press. The "I'm a man, I'm 40" rant may be one of the most epic things he's given the sports world for a press conference. How could you not like a guy that has his player's back like that and isn't scared to call it out? I would guess this is not the last we'll see of Gundy, he'll probably land another HC job after this if his heart is still in it.

That Oklahoma State dance video had me laughing just as hard as Animal House back in the day.

He won't resign, he will force them to pay the buyout and walk away with the money. He had said before he would be done coaching, but I read today in the Athletic that he plans on coaching somewhere next season, if not at OSU than someplace else. Might be nothing but posturing, but maybe he is leaving the door open if something comes his way. Not the worst thing in the world to take the money and start fresh someplace else, guy is only 58 years old, he could easily coach another decade.
Must...resist...temptation...
