I am guessing your definition of instant impact is different than Greenberg's.
He was largely correct on McKay, other than the spacing comments. He was likely guilty of buying too much into the chucker/niche offense myth.

Mckay had a very good game today despite just the single point. He really bothered Texas shots and was a rebounding machine.
Texas' bigs (Ridley, Holmes, Ibeh, Lammert and Turner) scored a combined 15 points on 7 of 20 shooting. McKay was a huge part of that.
On the other hand, so was Taylor and Yancy and our perimeter defense. It worked, so good game plan.
Everybody remember, this is the guy that said Ejim should be our point guard last year after Kane was hurt in the OU game. There's a reason why he doesn't coach anymore.
Jameel McKay will not have an instant impact for ISU. Limited offensive skills could actually hurt Cyclone spacing. More of a role player.
