I live threads like this until someone starts posting songs you didn’t know, followed by the cover from a band you didn’t know, just to put hipster everyone else.

Metallica Stone cold crazy
Limp Bizkit Faith basically ushered in nu metal. Even though I’m not a big bizkit fan they killed that song
Sublime bridges of babylon
Weezer has a bunch.
Take on me by Aha
Africa by Toto

Everything Eva Cassidy did was a cover. They are all chilling to listen to.

Sting - Fields of Gold

Cyndi Lauper - True Colors

Judy Garland - Over the Rainbow

John Prine didn't do many covers but this one of Blaze Foley's Clay Pigeons is top shelf

Intrigued to learn how you know this. It might be the first barbershop quartet reference I've seen here. VS is ridiculous.

I've gotten on a track of finding random covers over the past year of people that I've either never heard of, or are random people just in their living room. Some very interesting stuff out there.

Is this them covering a Garth Brooks song or vice versa?

Vice versa, the ORB recorded it before Garth did. The Oaks record it in 1978, Garth did in 1993. Both versions are pretty good, I like the bass lines on the original version but Garth gave it a little faster tempo and more modern sound to it.
