Listening to all the podcasts discussing JGJ being "dinged up" is reinforcing the dope smoking euphemism in my mind.If not, you may have just created a new euphemism - congrats!
I think @tolfbfan said it may have been a mercy killing. Sounds like the team was in pretty bad shape by the end of the regular season.

Nothing like letting your team down in a big way. Depending on how long the team has known this, and which JGJ would have shown up for this game, we could potentially be better without him.

I feel it is unfair to assume that he somehow failed a drug test just because he has gotten in trouble in the past. Either way, need to go on without him
I agree. Hide the alleged failed test behind an injury designation. Good politics for JGJ going into his professional career.
Way to let your entire team down for one of the bigger games in ISU history...Why he's even there is a bit baffling...CMC tried to save JGJ the humiliation I guess by saying its an injury...but nobody is that injured as a senior who was seen going thru practice some this week.
If that's true, it's disappointing that CMC let him make the trip IMO.
He sure looked like he was having fun spending his $400 at Best Buy in the video yesterday.
