Where's the Mountain Dew option?

When you say mountain dew, you're referring to moonshine, right? "Mountain Dew was originally Southern and/or Irish slang for moonshine (i.e., homemade whiskey)", 'cause then I'll agree then...

I only occasionally drink sports drinks...generally when I got the trots :pwink: or otherwise dehydrated. A while back, I ran across an article about home made sports drinks. It's really about the recipe (electrolyte/sodium/potassium mix), and the ingredients are pretty cheap.

Can't recall the specific recipe, and I've dialed it in for my taste...as I recall it's something like a packet of kool-aid of the right flavor (fruit punch fits in well), 1/3 cup sugar, and...I think 1/4 teaspoon Morton's Lite Salt (for the potassium) for a 2 quart batch. Usually drink that at the first sign of sickness/dehydration...good to go.

I never workout for more than an hour so there is no reason for me to drink either. Water works best for me. As long as my pee is clear, I'm good.

Only powerade I will even consider drinking is WHITE CHERRY. Back in the mid 90's there was a "Sour Apple" Gatorade. It was the BEST EVER. To this day I haven't seem it since I was like 10 and have never met anyone else that's had it but after a small search I do know it did exist and I'm not crazy. Anyone else remember it?? From what I read it sounds like it was a limited release on the east coast....one weird thing is it isn't listed as flavors of Gatorades past or present on their wiki.

They quickly pulled the Sour Apple because it was proven to cause men who drank it to grow very large breast.:jimlad:

I remember loving a green flavored Gatorade when I was young, I'm almost positive it was this flavor. I remember trying to find the same flavor back in the early 2000s but it was no longer around. Man that stuff was tasty.

These days I prefer the powerade zero because it has no sugar. I would drink G2, but it still has some sugar in it.

White Cherry Powerade and Riptide Rush Gatorade are the best flavors of each.

You sure it wasnt this Clonebey? This was discontinued in the 90's. I can't find anything about a "sour apple" flavor
