Is there a reason why so many think it has to be a country singer? Is it because of the Iowa thing? Is that a Gameday thing (I don’t watch it, so I’m not sure if it became their schtick or something.)

Country singers are a dime a dozen and always seem to be playing close to redneck college towns the night before a game.
And it's Iowa State - Iowa. When either of these teams play, the majority of "setting" shots that they show are ag related.
Who was it last week? I don’t even know where they were. I won’t be watching it anymore except for when they come here.
Can we somehow give somebody like Bill Murray an “Honorary Degree” of some kind so he has an ISU tie and comes to do the picks? That would be epic.
While he wasn't in Iowa in the movie, Kingpin begins in Iowa. Close enough for me.
Would be interesting and a lot like the Eric Stonestreet pick before but the big difference is Modern Family was a hit show on a Disney-owned channel and Impractical Jokers isn't

Sorry, I feel like this is a BS excuse. There have been plenty of examples of celebrities showing that have some sort of recognizability by the fan base but no one else watching outside of the state would know.

It should be attempted at least. Of all the negative ESPN signs that could pass scrutiny I feel like this one would at least make it past the censors at the gate.
Meh, it's no different than any other hate week. I'm in the camp it would be fun to wear the all blacks to piss Iowa off, but in reality wear something else because of the forecasted weather.
I hope the guest picker is someone awful like Tom Arnold.
