Gameday Host

100% spot on here. "Embarrassing" for the security company to do their gameday thing and surround the field at the end? There isn't a formula that is used where we take the opponent's ranking into account when we plan ahead to keep everyone safe.

Also completely agree on the atmosphere and noise level. You don't think things were rocking after those first 2 plays? Then the next 59 minutes were as boring as you could dream up, combined with a hot, direct sun that had most fans pretty dang worn out shortly into the second half.
The stadium sounded great on TV. The style of the game absolutely sucked the life out of everything after the first drive.

I would love to know how you believe she is enhancing the game day experience for fans.
Let me know where I said she was enhancing the game day? I said don't be an ass to someone. You can say you don't like it. Some people crossed lines. But yeah I said she was enhancing....

Just finished listening to Blum and CW. They spend about 5 minutes talking about my exact same point. Go back to beginning of this thread. People were awful. That doesn't mean every single one. So I guess I'm just as much of an ass as the two people who bring us this great content.

I haven’t seen anyone attack her personally. I’ve seen people say she did a poor job at livening the crowd up which I 100% agree with. Look at game threads, people say players did poorly, but you didn’t seem to go defend them.

I wasn't at the game, so I have no opinion on the actual in game experience, but most of the friends I have that were at the game were not fans. They felt it was way too loud, and didn't add anything to the gameday experience.
My thought is more on the choice of host. She is a Hawkeye. Why does the ISU Athletic Department hire an admitted Hawkeyes fan to be the in-game host for Cyclones games?? I cannot imagine any other school hiring a fan of their biggest rival to do their in-game stuff. If the Hawks did something like this, we'd be roasting them for it....

Honest question, has this woman ever been to an Iowa State game before in Jack Trice?

This lady emceed an event I was at last year and I found her tremendously annoying. I can understand the need for someone like this at a variety of functions, but a college football game isn't one of them. What exactly does she add?

Besides bricking up Remo, a lot of hurt ears.

At the basketball games, students in broadcast journalism interviewed people, why not have this and give them experience and a cash stipend. 2 problems solved, hire me Jamie. I work cheap!!

Hey Jaimie can I get a beer at the game? No but you can have this lady. Thanks pollard!

I have no problem Jackie.

I have a problem with the "host" concept. It's cheesy and cringe. I honestly don't understand how the AD sat in a meeting and thought this would be a good entertaining option. If it is strictly for corp advertising dollars there are hundreds of better and simpler ideas they could have done.

I don't understand why this stuff is so hard to figure out for our AD.

Let’s hope it wasn’t his idea

It’s almost like we need new leadership for a new age of college sports
