Game watch in Cedar Rapids?

Typically they go to the Fieldhouse on Blairs Ferry, should be pretty tamed since Iowa has a bye week.
There are at least bars that aren't Hawkeye bars. For example, any bar other than the Fieldhouse. I really do not understand why they have a Cyclone game watch in a bar which is painted black and gold and named after a building on the U of I campus.

I'm also in the boat that I'd kill for a regular Cedar Rapids game watch side which we absolutely flood with Cyclone fans. However, I've never been able to swallow my pride enough to go to an "official" game watch at the black and gold fieldhouse. I mean, isn't there any better more "neutral" options out there? I literally feel like I'd be lining Hawkeye pocketbooks by going there. Literally, if I could choose a worst place to watch an ISU game in Cedar Rapids, I'd probably have to vote for the Fieldhouse.
I went to the Fieldhouse for the bowl game last year and it was actually pretty nice. But I agree that it is pretty much my last possible choice. Are there no non-Hawkeye bars in CR or Marion that would be willing to put on Cyclone games? Because the Fieldhouse is only an option when the Hawks aren't playing. And even then its sketchy.
Not to diminish the people that put this together - Cyclone fans are a fickle bunch and don't have the best record of actually following through on stuff. So I commend the Alumni Association for at least having some option. Hopefully if attendence is good for this and other gamewatches we can just start taking over some other bar instead.

Why is The Fieldhouse the game watch site? What ISU connection is there with this place? Why do I ask?
I called there to see if they'd have the ISU-Tulsa game on. Not only did the person on the phone chuckle at me, she said, "All our TVs will be showing the Hawkeye game." What the ... ? And this is the place listed as the "official" Cedar Rapids Cyclone game watch site? Screw that.
We went to Third Base on Blair's Ferry instead. Every booth has its own TV, so if you get a booth, you can watch whichever game you want. We will probably head there again Saturday.

The places in CR that are big enough to hold an event:
Fieldhouses
Cedar Brew (owned by former Fieldhouse owners - so hawk fans)
Bushwood (owned by former Fieldhouse owners - so hawk fans)
Buffalo Wild Wings - guessing that they won't shut down for an ISU event, they are packed with out ISU stuff.
sorry not much choice if you want to avoid putting $ in hawk fans pockets. The guys that own the Fieldhouse(s), Bushwood and The old Cedar Brew are all nice guys if that helps.
I don't care if the owner of a bar is a Hawk fan, a Nebraska fan, or even not a fan of anyone at all. I just would just prefer to have a Gamewatch* location that didn't have to come with an asterisk.

I should have prefaced my whining with the fact that I won't be watching THIS game anywhere in Cedar Rapids as I'm heading to Fort Worth to watch it live (yes, feel free to be jealous) where I can only dream of avoiding ALL annoying Hawk fans (I know this is impossible.... see my Texas A&M, Texas, and Okalahoma trips). I was simply whining for FUTURE game watch sake. Shoot, why don't people just go to Third Base like the one guy mentioned. I've been there also for ISU games and the game was on a few TVs (even during the Hawk game) and each booth had its own TV you control anyways. I imagine the more Cyclone fans there, the more TVs they will put it on. I'd still take that over the Fieldhouse, but again, don't plan on seeing me there.
I think I will. It'll be packed with Cyclone fans, I have been to gamewatches there before. The food's decent and they've got a good beer selection.
