I saw Steve Martin in 1977, or so. Back then we called it "in concert". It was for his "Wild And Crazy Guy" tour/album. Yeah, comedians used to have record albums back then, too. It was his breakout year and something to see.

Mulaneys Tom Jones story had me in tears the first time I heard it

Also saw Mulaney at the Comedy Cellar (same night as Norton, Kelley, Schumer, Poppa, and Keith Robinson.) Any trip to NYC should include visiting that place! Same trip we went to a taping of the Late Show (Dennis Leary was the guest), got to attend the Late Night's monologue rehearsal (Fallon was still hosting and was great in rehearsal), and got to see Book of Mormon on Broadway. So much comedy in just a few days!

My favorite at the moment are Bill Burr and Louis CK. Check them out on you tube, hilarious stuff. I also like Jim Jeffries and Amy Schumer.

If it's only seen live then I'd have to say the best were...Fluffy, Bobby Lee, Iliza Shlesinger(also the hottest), Nick Swardson.

Top three I want to see live...Katt Williams, Jim Jefferies and of course Gaffigan.

I want to see Jefferies too.

I really want to see him. He makes SNL bearable when he's on and Louie on FX is great.
