Friday OT Thread: Well, I never...

Never been to an NBA or NFL game and doubt I ever will; only one MLB game (and I was bored to tears).

Couple of Energy games, one Barnstormers game, one Bucs game & one Chops game - that's about it for semi-pro.

?

No one has gotten shanked in Canada, ever.

Ha! I really was only in Canada for about an hour. Thunderbay. I basically only went in to say Ive been there. Was staying in Grand Marais at the time. I would love to go on a fishing trip sometime up that way.

I've never gone to a farmer's market and enjoyed it. Sure, I've gone several times. I've thought, hey, this might be fun. It sucks-- every time.

Just curious why?

It just didn't look all that appealing to me, but I'm not a big special effects guy so that could be part of the problem. Also, unobtainium? Seriously?

And it's also tied to a "I never" streak a friend of mine has - he is 35 years old and has never played a single game of Monopoly, but he loved Avatar. So he keeps bugging me to see it and I tell him I'll watch it just as soon as I kick his *** all over the Monopoly board.

Sometimes I lock the doors to the bathroom even when I am home alone. Just habit, I suppose. There are somethings that I have no interest in seeing; people going to the bathroom is one of them. Close the door.

You lock the bathroom door when you are home alone...and I should close my door because you have issues?

Good move; save some money and watch it from home - especially the NFL. It's a fun novelty but with the in home viewing experience what it is now, it's stupid to drop money on tickets, parking, and concessions.

This is the company that we did our fly-in fishing trip through. Awesome time and caught literally so many fish that you get sick of reeling them in. At one point we just pulled in our lines and drank beer and enjoyed the peace and quiet for a while. http://www.twin-lakes-air.com/

Just in case everyone comes home while I am sitting there... Honestly, it's just a reflex. I go in a hit the door lock without ever thinking about it. As soon as I here the lock click I think about how weird it is that I just locked the door. I know, I know.

I got a nice turkey leg at one once, so I can't say I've never enjoyed one.

Ive never been to the West Coast and have never been to the East Coast. I have been north and south and in the middle only. I was set up to go to California with my previous employer this year but I changed jobs and that got erased. A bit bummed.

A few more:

• Despite my parents owning various ski boats for the past 20+ years, I've never learned how to waterski.
• I've never ice skated
• Never played on any high school sports teams (played a lot of basketball, just not on an actual team)
• Never have done drugs (alcohol on the other hand is an entirely different story)
• Never have gone hunting or fishing
• Never have owned a gun or even fired one
• Never have been to Canada
• Never have been to New York, Seattle, San Francisco or Boston.
• Never actually changed my own oil in a car that I own. Now, motorcycles on the other hand, all of the time.
• Never have seen "Caddyshack" or "The Big Lebowski" all of the way through

Looking at this list, I think I'm going to make it a checklist of things I am going to do in the next 2-3 years (except for the high school and drug stuff)
