Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday.

I know some people don't do resolutions or whatever, but I am always curious to see who has accomplished/failed/still in progress on their resolutions.

I didn't really have any non-normal ones.

Lose weight and save more money. Doing decent on both so far.

I have 10 things listed, but I'm not going through all of those!

The big ones are to buy a house (and do the moving/cleaning associated with that), get to goal weight, finish a seven year old craft project, and take a couple trips with the husband.

Going pretty well so far, at 95% of the savings that I want before we go to buy (ahead of schedule), working out lots, and husband got a better job that doesn't have a ton of vacation time the first year but will give him every other Friday off, so hopefully a few weekend trips can be had.

Same as last year.

Visit my Mom at least every two weeks when in IA and write at least every week while in FL. I'm doing pretty well, but missed a couple of weeks there in the process of moving again. (She's in assisted living about an hour from where I live in IA).

I'm always struggling to eat better or lose weight. Seems I'm either doing very well or very poorly.

I don't make resolutions. I make goals. My goal this year is to qualify for the Boston Marathon. Still a work in progress...

The last actual resolution I made was going into 2011 I gave up drinking pop. Still going strong on that over 3 years later!

This year I'm trying to focus on eating healthier and losing a bit of weight, buy I didn't create a resolution per se.

i've been at my job for 7 years and get 3 weeks (15 days). you are saying in his first year he gets 26 days off and you're not calling that a lot?

he still has to work extra time to get those days, can't use them any other time or combine them, and only gets a week of "free" vacation.

Learning how to swim (effectively). Took lessons as a kid so I'm not worried about drowning, but want to improve technique enough that I can make it part of my weekly workout routine. Been hitting the pool a couple times a week so far. It's getting easier, but still tough to do consecutive laps without running out of air and panicking.

Not really a resolution but I am going to foce myself to actually take my vacation time this year. I started my job in May after graduation with 12 days (pro-rated from 15 since I started in the middle of the year), carried my 40 hours at the end of the year and still ended up having to give 2 days back at the end of the year.

Vacation is not my thing.

I said I was going to cut out fast food. I ate a ton of it before. I've done it so far but it has meant a few times when I didn't plan ahead I was hungry

I resolved to not make New Year's Resolutions. Not sure if that means that I was successful or that I failed.

In regards to the eating healthy resolutions, I heard on the news last night that the average American drinks 2.5 cans a pop per day! When they started saying that, I thought they were going to say per week. And that's the average, half of the people drink more than that!

Run more and travel more. I'm running my first half marathon this year (Lincoln half marathon) and plan on running several other road races along with 3-4 obstacle course races. Also plan on heading to Denver, Chicago, and Florida this year.

I have already had more than that this morning.

The worse your technique, the more exercise you get!

I know there are people that drink a ton. That seems like a lot though for an average. When I was not paying attention to what I ate or drank it wasn't uncommon for me to drink two 1 liters during the workday and who knows how much more at night.

Brian Williams said it, and I believe what that man says. It does seem like a lot....I really thought he was going to say in a week!
