What is your preferred phone brand/model? Why did you choose that? Are you using your preferred one?

I've been firmly entrenched in iPhone for a while - I went to one after an Android because I had so much music and so many apps on my iPods at the time, and I've stayed with them because it feels like you're just stuck once you select them.

What are yours?

iPhone. It’s not that I have anything against Android, but with the mass collection of media I had collected on iTunes going back to my iPod days, it made more sense.

Android (Samsung), but only because that was what I first got and I've never had a reason to change. I don't use my phone enough to have it affect me too much either way.

I have a Sumsung. J3 or something. It was cheap and I can call people with it.

I keep thinking about just going back to a flip phone but the maps feature has proven useful a few times.

Switched to iPhone about 5 years ago almost solely because of Apple Watch.

I just got my first Apple Watch a couple of weeks ago after thinking they were dumb for forever.

I was wrong, that thing is awesome.

I'm Android for precisely this reason. Apple's built the biggest and most comprehensive ecosystem but the premium just isn't worth it to me. Plus the switching costs are enormous...if you want out it's a ton of work to extract yourself. (Which is the point, of course.)

Apple, mostly because we have Ipads and and Apple Watch. Really liking the new update.

This is maybe one of the first iOS updates in a LONG time where I haven't wished for the old one back immediately!

I thought this would be about asking people about the craziest voice-mail messages they have received.

This would be an interesting thread.

I'm also an iPhone user for the same reason as Angie -- I had a Macbook and an iPod and it just seemed to make sense. Some of the Pixel and Galaxy phones are really nice, but I'll probably stick with iPhone with my next upgrade (which will likely happen in the next few months).

I full-on gave in and just do the Upgrade program now, where you basically lease your phone and can get a new one each year. It was better to me than paying for each of them outright.

Pixel - I went from Blackberry to I-phone for a couple I think I had a 5 and a 6? but after 3.5 years just could not deal with the crap they make you do just to have a backup or stay connected with all of the other apple stuff so I switched to the pixel when it came out and could not be happier.

The Google world is soooo much less hassle (and significantly cheaper). My wife and kids are still ensorcelled by the evil empire and I laugh at them when they have to jump through hoops to do simple things because of it.

Yeah, I lease my phone too. I've just had bad customer experiences the last few times I visited a Verizon store, so I'm dreading that whole process. I may end up just going through Best Buy.

"call people"? Do I have to? this might be my least favorite feature of my phone.

I couldn't agree more. It takes forever, it's just a pain, and you get crap pushed down your throat.

If you want to go hella lazy, skip both of them and do this through Apple: LINK They let you just do it online, and they mail the phone to your house. You then send your old one back. I don't have to talk to anyone when I do it!
